A tray-like container, made from cardboard or the like, is formed from a blank which has extensions 4 hinged to the outer edges of side wall panels 2 and adapted to be folded inwardly about crease lines 5 to form double layer side walls, and has treble layer end walls formed by folding extension flaps 6, 7 inwardly to lie parallel to raised end wall panels 3 so that the flaps 7 form the innermost layer and areas 10 and 11, which are coated with pressure sensitive adhesive, are brought into contact through cut-away portions 12 of the flaps 6 and are pressed together. The container may be provided with a separate lift lid or a lid connected to any of the upright walls and which may also form part of the blank from which the container is made.
