[Also in Group XXV] A spring clip for retaining a valve in its holder is generally U-shaped, the free ends of the arms 13 being adapted. as by being hooked inwards, for pivotal connection to the holder 1, and outwardly directed kinks 16 being formed in the arms adjacent the free ends ; the kinks act as parts of a bayonet fitting for attaching a screening can, Fig. 2 (not shown). The upper part of the clip is deformed into a hook-like bend 14, and shaped to conform with a curved end of the valve envelope.
