573,030. Thermionic valve holders. COSSOR, Ltd., A. C., and LEVIN, A. Sept. 17, 1943, No. 15304. [Class 39 (i)] [Also in Group XXXVI] A fastening device for securing a valve in its holder comprises a resilient metal ring 1 of a size to pass over the upper part of a valve having a shoulder formed between upper and lower parts of different diameter, either on the envelope itself or on a metal shield enclosing it, and a co-operating ring 5 secured to the holder. The ring 1 is formed at the ends of one diameter with fixing lugs 4 having necks 8 that engage beneath hooks 7 on lugs 9 of the ring 5. The ring 1 is bent at 11 so as to form obtuse projections that press on the shoulder of the valve when the lugs 9 are sprung into the hooks. Locating lugs 12 fit against the periphery of the lower part of the envelope.
