Abstract
843,053. Hand rope grips. LAGIER, M. F. M. J. March 31, 1958 [March 29, 1957], No. 10325/58. Class 78 (2). A person is assisted up an incline by use of a hand grip engaging a moving cable 10, the grip having fixed jaws 8, 8A secured to handle 2, the jaws enabling the person to kink the rope and so obtain propulsion. A belt 1 is provided to be passed around the person's waist, the ends of which belt are secured respectively to handle 2 and bar 5 so that when the person together grips both bar and handle he is pulled bodily up the incline.
