Abstract

843,025. Street lighting fittings. REVO ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Oct. 1, 1958 [Oct. 3, 1957], No. 30971/57. Classes 75(2) and 75(4). A street lighting fitting comprises a body part 4 for mounting on a lamp standard or other support an arm 5 extending horizontally from the body part and having means 8 near its outer end for supporting the outer end of a lamp 7 mounted in a holder 6 on the body part, a cover 12 which is at least partially translucent and is fitted with means for slidable engagement with the arm 5 and means 15 for clamping the cover to the body part. The cover may be formed of two plastic parts 12a, 12b of which the former is opaque and has formed on it or secured to the interior a guideway 13 engaging a bead on the arm 5, a spring catch 16 being provided to prevent complete withdrawal of the cover from the arm. The support 8 may be in the form of a wire loop supported from the arm 5, the upper end of which passes through two tongues 9 on the arm 5 between which is a sleeve 10 having screws 11 to allow of vertical adjustment of the lamp.
