Abstract

1,025,031. Supporting lamp shades. H. GANTENBRINK, and B. GANTENBRINK, [trading as GANTENBRINK LEUCHTEN o.H.G.]. Jan. 27, 1964 [Feb. 11, 1963], No. 3327/64. Heading F4R. A lamp shade 7 having an opening at its upper end is supported on a light fitting 1 provided with a tubular member 2 by means of a mounting device comprising a dished member 9 secured to the tubular member so that its open end projects beyond the end of the tubular member and a pair of limbs 5b which are also secured to the tubular member and are urged resiliently outwardly, the limbs being formed with shoulders 5c and extending at their ends through radial slots 10 in the dished member so that when the shade is moved upwardly to abut a collar 9d of the dished member the limbs engage resiliently against the inner surface of the shade to hold it firmly in position. The position of the dished member along the tubular member may be adjusted by means of a nut 11. The limbs 5b are made of resilient material.
