Class 75(4) In a light fitting according to the parent Specification which comprises an opaque tube to receive a lamp, an opaque sleeve in sliding engagement with the tube, an opaque member adapted to close the end of the sleeve and means for telescoping the sleeve relatively to the tube to move the sleeve towards and away from the opaque member, the telescoping means comprises one or more balls located in apertures in one telescoping part and engaging in a helical groove in the other telescoping part. Preferably two balls are provided in apertures in the sleeve and engage a helical groove in the tube.
