An article supporting bracket 1 comprises a substantially rectangular frame having at its top portion a rectangularly shaped tubular portion 4 adapted to adjustably receive means 7 or 11 for connecting the bracket to a wall or a door, the frame having means for receiving articles to be supported by the bracket. The bracket has a main closed body portion 2 with openings 3. Grooves 8 are provided for the reception of coat hangers or culinary articles. The means 11 for connecting the bracket to a support may comprise a strip of metal or synthetic resinous plastic material having a pair of arms 12, 13. The tubular portion 4 is provided with a series of holes 16 for engagement with a projection 15 on the arm 12. Alternatively screw means may be passed through the holes 16 to engage holes 16a in the arm 12 to hold the arm in an adjusted position. The support for the bracket is arranged between the arm 13 and a further tubular portion 5 of the bracket. The tubular portion 5 is provided with holes 9, 10 into which resilient grommets may be fitted. A grommet 14 is also fitted on the arm 13. The bracket can be directly attached to the wall by removing the arm 12 from the tubular portion 4 thus leaving the holes 9, 10 accessible for engagement with screws or nails. A hook shaped member 7 for engagement with a picture rail, for example, may be adjustably or non-adjustably connected with the tubular portion 4. The bracket has a tubular portion 6 having holes 6a for engaging screws or nails in a support. The bracket may be constructed from metal or from a synthetic resinous plastic material. The holes 6a, 9, 10 may be of key-hole shape.
