887,851. Garment racks. BATES BROS. (SHEET METAL WORKERS) Ltd. Nov. 2, 1960 [Oct. 7, 1959], No. 33952/59. Class 52(5) A garment &c rack comprises a sheet metal fitting to rest on top of a door, an arm 8 pivoted on the fitting and held in horizontal position by a stop 10 on the fitting, the arm having slots 9 in which articles to be supported e.g. coat &c. hangers can rest. The stop consists of a semicircular part pressed out of a back plate 1 and the arm is pivoted on a rivet 7 passing through lugs 5 projecting from the backplate. The backplate and downwardly extending part 3, which bears on the door, have a felt lining 4.
