Abstract
842,783. Wheel chocks. ROADS RECONSTRUCTION (1934) Ltd., and HERRING- TON, W. G. Jan. 7, 1959 [Feb. 11, 1958], No. 4505/58. Class 103 (1). A chock for a road vehicle comprises a longitudinal openwork frame consisting of three longitudinal members a, band c connected by a transverse member d, e and f to form a triangular openwork structure of tubular metal members and of such a length to be disposed across both wheel tracks of the vehicle to form a stop therefor The hypotenuse of the triangular openwork structure is provided with abutment members g and the base of the chock is preferably provided with a plate extension j secured to and situated in front of the base of the chock such that a lorry wheel A will rest on the extensions when in abutment with members g. The rearward sloping face e of the chock may have welded thereto a mild steel plate (not shown), which acts as guide for the tipped body of a dumper vehicle.
