Abstract

The invention comprises the ammonium salt of a -4 chloro-2-methylphenoxy propionic acid (CMPP.). The compound of the invention is prepared by the reaction of CMPP with ammonia gas or ammonia solution.ALSO:The invention comprises herbicidal compositions containing the ammonium salt of a -4-chloro-2 methylphenoxy propionic acid. The salt may be mixed with 2:3:6 trichlorobenzoic acid or other polychlorobenzoic acids.
