Abstract

The invention comprises N-isopropyl-N-benzyl-hydrazine and its acid addition salts, and the preparation thereof by reducing N-nitroso-N-benzyl isopropylamine, preferably with a mixed metal hydride reducing agent. N-Nitroso-N-benzyl-isopropylamine is prepared from N-benzylisopropylamine and nitrous acid. Specification 933,566 is referred to.
