Abstract

841,403. Accumulators. UNILEVER Ltd. Feb. 7, 1958 [Feb. 19, 1957], No. 4069/58. Class 69 (2). The rate of supply of margarine through line 11 is controlled by throttle valve 22. Fluctuations of pressure in chamber 1 are compensated for by compression of gas in chamber 5, but if the fluctuations are sufficiently large, piston 8 and rod 19 are moved so far that lever 21 comes into contact with either roller 20 or 23 which opens or closes valve 22. Radial passages 16 in piston 8 ensure that the margarine is evenly supplied over the face of the piston.
