In a diaphragm actuated valve suitable for controlling fluids at temperatures from -320‹ F. to 300‹ F. the diaphragm is made of polyethylene terephthalate. The diaphragm may have a thickness between 0.0005 and 0.003 inches, preferably 0.002 inches, and may be fabricated from multiple layers of polyethylene terephthalate.
