Abstract

841,380. Refrigerators. AERO PIPE & GLASS CO. Ltd. Oct. 8, 1958 [Oct. 8, 1957], No. 31502/57. Class 29 Condensation or defrost melt water from an open-top refrigerated showcase drops through aperture 27 into a cylindrical container 21 horizontally supported in a saddle shaped bracket 22, the container when full being slid forwards until aperture 27 is outside the wall 3 of the showcase and being then rotated through 180 degrees about its horizontal axis so that it empties through aperture 27. The front wall 31 of the container is set back and has a hole 32 through which water flows to indicate the container needs emptying. A baffle 28 prevents surging- of the water. The recessed front of the container is bridged by a handle 34 and surrounded by an annular flange 33 having press-studs 35 engaging sockets 36 on the underlying part of the showcase wall 3.
