838,805. High frequency discharge apparatus. SYLVANIA ELECTRIC PRODUCTS Inc. Sept. 8, 1958 [Sept. 6, 1957], No. 28774/58. Class 39(1). A strophotron electron oscillator tube has hyperbolic accelerator electrodes 14, 16 and hyperbolic reflectors 18, 20, adjacent electrodes having common asymptotic planes 26, 28. Electrons are projected from the cathode 34 in the direction of a constant magnetic field and drift in oscillatory paths to a collector 36. The load 38 is connected between the reflectors 18, 20.
