Abstract

838,673. Two-part couplings. UNITEDCARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Dec. 13, 1957 [Feb. 27, 1957], No. 38872/57. Class 38 (1). A printed circuit panel 10 (Fig. 3) has integral component receiving sockets 14, 15 and 16 moulded with it, each socket having a number of holes 14b, 15b, 16b for receiving the terminal pins of valves and other components. The sockets have ears 14a, 15a, 16a each having holes 14d, 15d, 16d to accommodate spring tongues for connecting valve shields to earthing conductors in the printed circuit. The holes 14b, 15b, 16b contain contact members 18 (Fig. 7) which grip the valve &c. pins and have small passages extending through to the under aurface of the panel which accommodate tails 17 by which contacts 18 are connected to recesses 28 which accommodate parts of the printed circuit. The panel contains circular and rectangular holes 19, 20, 21 which are of enlarged cross-section 22 (Fig. 4) in the upper part of the panel thickness and communicate with enlarged coaxial recesses in the under surface of the panel containing parts 23 (Fig. 4) of the printed circuit.
