Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0838670/IV (b)/1> (wherein R represents an alkyl or cycloalkyl radical of 4-18 carbon atoms) and their salts, and the preparation thereof by reacting isonicotinoylhydrazine, at a temperature below 100 DEG C., with a compound containing the radical RO-CO-, e.g. with an alkyl or cycloakyl halocarbonate, or with an alcohol and a carbonyl halide. The products are useful for the treatment of tuberculosis.
