Class 86 A machine for blending powders comprises a spherical mixing chamber 5, 6 having three equispaced oblique or right frusto-conical extensions 1, 2, 3 mounted round an equator and rotated about a polar axis 4 in direction 7, preferably at a speed N r.p.m. such that the angle of repose of the powder = #[N(#-#)] when #-# is the angle of obliquity of the frusto-cones. The ends of the frusto-cones are closed by removable covers (not shown) for charging and discharging.
