Abstract

836,968. Hose reels. BODENHAGEN, E. L. O. Oct. 30, 1958 [Nov. 1, 1957], No. 34798/58. Class 99(2). A hose reel, particularly for garden hoses, comprises a cylinder 1 having flanged wheels 3 and a recess 12 within which is located a curved pipe stub 11 for the hose, the pipe stub pointing in the direction in which the hose is reeled off and being connected to a chamber 9 sealingly connected to a hollow journal 5 having at its free end a pipe stub 13 for connection to a water carrying hose. The recess 12 has an obliquely disposed plate 14 extending from the front edge thereof and uniformly curved in the direction of the pipe stub 11 in such a manner that the part of the plate nearest the pipe stub in flush therewith so as to support the hose connected thereto.
