An atomiser comprises a venturi tube and a liquid feed tube, extending wholly and transversely across the venturi tube at the upstream side of the venturi throat, which feed tube has an aperture in its wall through which liquid can be drawn into the throat. Both ends of the feed tube may be connected to a source of liquid. The atomiser may be used for supplying moist air to patients suffering from lung complaints.
