Abstract

733,236. Crop sprayer. DRAKE & FLETCHER, Ltd., and SMITH, A. P. Nov. 26, 1953 [Dec. 4, 1952], No. 30792/52. Class 69 (3). A spray boom extending transverse a vehicle includes an angle-iron bar 2, Fig. 2; with holes 3 therealong to receive nozzle-supporting adapters which are interconnected with piping 9 which may be flexible. The adapter of Fig. 3 is integral with a lug 6 by means of which it is bolted to the bar, and consists of a short length of pipe 4 open at both ends and connected to an outlet 5 to which is threaded a nozzle 5<SP>1</SP>. In Fig. 5 the bar is fitted with or replaced by a tube or rod 11, and the lug 6 of each adapter is replaced by a clamping device 12.
