Abstract

835,833. Windows. ALUCOBAUELEMENTE - PATENTGESELLSCHAFT. Jan. 20, 1958 [Jan. 24, 1957; Oct. 31, 1957], No. 1823/58. Class 20(3) A double glazed window is surrounded by a channel shaped frame 2, facing outwardly, the limb 21 carrying a pane spacing web 3, and a T-shaped member 4 coated with a synthetic heat insulating material is secured between the limbs of the channel so that the arm 41 forms a retaining surface for the outer pane of the window. As shown the spacing web 3 is hollow and may contain hydrophilous material to prevent condensation between the panes. A groove 32 is formed on the outer surface of the web to prevent reflection between the panes. The web may be H-, #- or T-shaped or be secured on the limb 21 by a dovetail joint. A web coated with heat insulating material may be interposed between the limb 22 and the surounding framework 15 (Fig. 2, not shown).
