Abstract

835,605. Wall &c. brackets. LONDON ENGINEERS PATTERN CO. Ltd. March 11, 1958 [May 30, 1957], No. 17192/57. Class 52(5) [Also in Groups XXV and XXXVI] In a cleat of the type having two parts A, B each formed with a jaw 1, 1a the two jaws being adapted to fit together to form a passage for embracing and clamping a cable pipe and the like the jaws extending respectively from a pair of body portions 2, 2a having opposed flat faces 3, 3a and each body portion having a hole 4, 4a through which a bolt or stud 6 is passed for tightening the parts together and for mounting the cleat on a supporting member 7 the opposed flat faces 3, 3a are inclined to the axis of the respective bolt or stud holes therein and the hole 4 in one of the pair of body portions 2 is elongated at right angles to the direction of the passage. In a modification the jaws are respectively formed with a second pair of body portions at their other ends which either have inclined opposed faces like the faces 3, 3a or have faces at right angles to the axis of the bolt or stud holes but which are arranged to have a gap between them so that the faces 3 and 3a can slide one on the other. The additional body portions are formed with holes to receive a second bolt or stud.
