Abstract
835,366. Lace - making. TULLMASCHINEN - BAU KARL - MARX-STADT-VEB. April 29, 1958, No. 13623/58. Class 74 (1). An endless warp to be worked in a bobbin net machine is, by reason of a unidirectional movement of the warp carrier, circulated continuously in one direction which is perpendicular to the length of the individual warp threads ; and there are provided for the warp, thread guide devices which are independent of the warp carrier, which are driven in the same direction as is the carrier and which have, in addition, a reciprocating movement to effect the .intertwisting of warp threads and bobbin threads. The warp threads are supplied from an endless row of bobbins 1 continuously driven in the direction of the arrow a, Fig. 3. As these threads pass upwardly, they are separated into two warps 4, 5, Fig. 1, which pass through guide notches 12 of guide rails 10, 11, made up of components borne by links of endless chains 13, 14. The chains are driven and guided by mutually inclined toothed wheels 15, 16. The top runs of the chains, and thus of the rails, run in the same direction as the bobbins supplying them with their warp threads; but on this motion of the rails is superimposed reciprocatory motion. To this end, the wheels 15, 16 are mounted on reciprocatable rails 17, 18. Over the top part of their travel, the rails 10, 11 run with their free edges in slots in a rail 22, and thus the mouths of the notches 12 are closed to retain their warp threads ; but, as the rails pass down over their toothed wheels, known devices 19, 20 transfer the selvedge warp threads from one warp to the other.
