Abstract

A device for selecting the pick in shuttleless looms and making it available for injection through the shed in the form of a loop, has two clamps and two thread guides arranged in the line of motion between supply package and weft inserter, with a loop forming device consistsing of an endless belt continuously moving at right angles to that line of motion. One thread guide controlled by an electromagnet can be displaced transversely so as to bring the yarn under a projecting peg on the belt and form a loop between the two thread guides for insertion according to programme.
