834,901. Refrigerating. ELECTROLUX Ltd. Sept. 20, 1956 [Oct. 7, 1955], No. 28780/56. Class 29 In continuous cycle absorption refrigerating apparatus the vapour expulsion system comprises a vapour expeller tube 17, a heating tube 13, for an electric heating element, disposed in axial alignment and in tandem with the expeller member, and in heat exchange with the expeller tube by a transverse partition 20, together with a liquid pump pipe 16 connected in heat exchange with the heating tube along a common generatrix. As shown the expeller vessel and heating tube are located in the same pipe with a heat exchange sleeve 21, slotted to receive the liquid pump 16, surrounding the pipe about the partition 20. Alternatively the expeller tube has a closed bottom forming the partition and is embraced telescopically by the heating tube. The liquid pump may be wound about the heating tube and the vapour expeller tube may be thickened, as by rolling, at the portion adjacent the partition without increasing its internal diameter. The liquid pump may be introduced into the lower end of the expeller, the riser passing through the liquid and having its outlet above the liquid levels.
