Class 98(1) In order to allow a supplementary opening of the shutter blades (e.g. for view finding) independently of the usual master member spring, the master member comprises two relatively movable parts arranged to be non-positively connected to one another, one part is adapted to be actuated by the master member spring and the other part is connected to the usual blade ring and, when the shutter has been set, is movable relatively to the first part through a limited amount to open the shutter blades. As shown, the master member comprises two discs 13 and 14, Fig. 3 (not shown) of which disc 13 is freely rotatable on a spindle to which the disc 14 is attached. The shutter is set by rotating the spindle counterclockwise, thus moving the disc 14 so that a projection 14c thereon abuts a lug 13b on disc 13 whereupon the two discs rotate together to tension a spring 22 engaging a lug 13c on disc 13. The shutter is held in the set position by the engagement of a latch 10a with a lug 13a on disc 13, but the shutter blades may be opened by rotating the spindle clockwise until the lug 14d on disc 14 abuts the lug 13a on the disc 13, this limited rotation being sufficient for the latch 17, pivoted to disc 14 and embracing a pin on the blade ring 3 to move ring 3 into the "blades-open" position. Release of the spindle allows a spring 20 to rock the ring 3 and thus action the disc 14 to the set position. An exposure is effected by depressing trigger 7 to release the latch 10a whereupon the discs 13, 14 rotate together in the clockwise direction so that latch 17 reciprocates the ring 3 to open and close the shutter blades.
