Abstract
720,848. Photographic pivoted blade shutters. DECKEL, H., and DECKEL, F. W. March 25, 1953 [June 20, 1952], No. 8265/53. Class 98 (1). A pivoted blade shutter with a positively and oscillatably driven shutter blade ring 6 and with means for supplementary opening or closing of the shutter blades 1, e.g. for focusing purposes, is characterized in that the pivot pins 2 of the blades 1 are arranged on a ring 3 which is itself capable of oscillatory motion for such supplementary opening and closing. Preferably the ring 3 is concentric with the blade ring 6 and is provided with a hand lever 8 projecting from the shutter casing 7 through a slot 9 having stops 11, 12 limiting its movement and adapted normally to snap into a detent 10, Fig. 2 (not shown), adjacent the stop 12. To prevent accidental tripping of the shutter trigger whilst the blades are opened by the supplementary means, the lever 8 having been flexed out of the detent 10 and moved clockwise, the lever 8 may carry a lug projecting into the path of the shutter trigger.
