Abstract

535,999. Photographic shutters. KODAK, Ltd. June 12, 1940, No. 10223. Convention date, Oct. 5, 1939. Addition to 527,728. [Class 98 (i)] In the shutter disclosed in the parent Specification, means operated by the setting lever positively hold the trigger in the inoperable position to which it is moved in releasing the shutter. As shown, the shutter is set by clockwise rotation of a master member 2 by a setting-lever 1, the master member being held in the set position by the engagement with a shoulder 6 of a latch 4 carried by a pivoted trigger 5. The setting-lever 1 carries an arcuate shoe 8 which slides in a similar groove 9 in the shutter plate, and is formed at one end with a lug 10. When the shutter is released by depressing the trigger 5 the lever 1 with the shoe 8 move to the left to the position shown, in which the lug 10 lies in front of the end of an arm 11 on the latch 4 and so positively prevents return movement of the trigger to its operative position until the shutter has been re-set. In another form, applicable to existing shutters, an arm carried by the setting-lever externally of the casing lies in the path of the trigger when the shutter is unset.
