Abstract

686,279. Photographic shutters. KODAK, Ltd. Dec. 20, 1950 [Dec. 20, 1949], No. 31017/50. Class 98 (i). A multiple pivoted-blade shutter having an arcuately movable master member is provided with a blade rebound prevention device comprising a lever 33 pivoted in the shutter casing and urged by a spring 35 to a position in which an impact shoulder 32 on the lever lies in the path of, and a latching shoulder 39 thereon lies clear of, a projection 30 on the master member, so that as the master member approaches its rest position at the end of an exposure, its projection strikes the impact shoulder 32 and pivots the lever to bring the latching shoulder 39 behind the master member projection. As described, the shutter to which the device is applied is that described and claimed in Specification 650,874, having its blade ring directly driven by a power spring, and the projection 30 is carried by the shutter setting arm 11 attached to said ring. The latch 39 is released on moving the arm anticlockwise to set the shutter, the spring 35 aiding this release. Specification 523,134 also is referred to.
