831,949. Reciprocating pumps. DOWTY EQUIPMENT Ltd. Nov. 7, 1956 [Nov. 14, 1955], No. 32529/55. Class 102(1). A ripple filter for an hydraulic pump comprises a rigid walled and liquid filled container 29 having liquid inlet and outlet conduits 36, 38 of the same bore but of smaller bore than the conduits 35, 37 connecting the conduits 36, 38 to the pump outlet 25 and delivery connection 40, respectively. A formula is derived in the Specification relating the length and crosssectional area of the filter conduits and the volume of the filter chamber with the cut-off frequency.
