[Also in Group VII] A lacing hook for footwear comprises a riveting eyelet 1 with a flange 3 made of soft metal and open at both ends and a plate 2 cut from a strip of hard metal and having a downwardly extending part which is bent over the flange 3 to rivet the eyelet to the plate the plate then being bent to produce the lacing hook. The eyelet is completely closed at one end by the hook.
