Clutches, friction. - A friction member comprises a preferably conical metal supporting-member 6 having perforations 18 through which friction material 17 is laced. The lacing leaves parts 19 of the m e t a l support uncovered. The ends of strip are brought together at 20 and secured by a rivet. The friction material may be leather or fibre, and there may be several strips to make a surface.
