Abstract

830,734. Waste and overflow fittings for baths, &C. GROHE, H., [trading as GROHE K.G., H.]. July 28, 1958 [Sept. 13, 1957], No. 24175/58. Class 26. An overflow and drain control device for a bath-tub or like container 10 comprises a rotary handle 19 for means controlling the drain outlet formed as a perforated element adapted to cover the overflow aperture 10a. The handle 19 consists of a cup-shaped rosette with holes 19b which in the form shown are in recesses 19c and secured by a hub 19a aided by a grub-screw 18, on an eccentric shaft 14 for actuating a Bowden cable 16 leading to the waste valve. The shaft 14 is in the bore of the sleeve 11a integral with the casing 11 with a washer 12 to the rear of the aperture 10a, to which is connected a plate 13 by a boss 13a threaded on the sleeve 11a. Water overflows out through the holes 19b, holes in the plate 13 and a cavity 11c in the casing 11 for a pipe 17.
