[Class 40 (iii)] [Also in Group I] The water supply to lavatory fittings &c. is automatically controlled by the user crossing a light ray. In one embodiment, the photoelectric cell 3 operates a contactor 4 to turn on the valve 6 in the water service pipe 7 to the showers 8. An adjustable time switch 5 determines the period the valve 6 remains open. In another embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), the invention is applied to a wash basin.
