828,861. Terminals combined with fuses; transformers. FERGUSON PAILIN Ltd. March 11, 1958 [March 11, 1957], No. 7945/57. Class 38 (1). [Also in Group XXXV] Connection to a H.V. terminal of an instrument transformer embedded in a body 3 of cast or moulded insulation such as thermosetting resin is made through a fuse 1 embedded in an integral projection 2 of the body 3. The fuse may be surrounded over at least part of its length by an embedded metallic shield 10 to prevent or reduce corona discharge. A projection in which a fuse connection is embedded may be provided for each phase of a multi-phase instrument transformer or all the fuses may be embedded in a single projection.
