Abstract

An animal feed supplement contains a mixture of novobiocin and a tetracycline type antibiotic, the novobiocin content ranging from 10 to 90% by weight of the total antibiotic content of the supplement. The novobiocin may be used in any therapeutically effective form e.g. acid, the mono- or di-sodium salt and the mono- or di-potassium salt. The tetracycline type antibiotic is tetracycline, oxycetracycline or chlortetracycline as such, or in any therapeutically active form such as the hydrachloride or other acid salt, salts with sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium or zine, and complexes with calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, aluminium chloride or zinc chloride.
