Abstract

A stimulant composition for the muscular and nervous system for parenteral and oral administration comprises uridine-5-triphosphoric acid <FORM:0916309/VI/1> or a non-toxic metal salt e.g. sodium or potassium or the ammonium salt thereof and a therapeutically administrable vehicle which is a solid, sterile injectable liquid or a liquid containing a flavouring agent. Specified carriers are aqueous solutions containing a bacteriostatic agent e.g. "Nipasol" (Registered Trade Mark) sodium chloride, glucose or alcohol and solid carriers e.g. lactose and kaolin, the composition being in the form of a tablet, granule, capsule or in an ampoule.
