827,888. Extracting ingots. FOUNDRY SERVICES Ltd. Feb. 19, 1958 [March 6, 1957], No. 7507/57. Class 83 (1). A method of facilitating the removal of an ingot from a mould comprises welding to, or embedding, in the head of the ingot, a metalextension member whereby the ingot can be lifted. The extension may be a bar projected at high speed into the top of the ingot by pneumatic, hydraulic or explosive means. Specifications 627,678, 769,719, 772,273, 774,490, 774,491 and 775,380, [all in Group II], are referred to.
