826,958. Conveying bottles to and from sterilizing apparatus. STORK & CO.'S APPARATENFABRIEK N.V. GEB. March 1, 1956 [March 14, 1955], No. 6526/56. Class 78 (1). In sterilizing apparatus comprising an endless link-pin type conveyer chain 2 to the links of which are attached carriers 3 for containers 4 containing the goods to be sterilized, the return run of the chain outside the sterilizing chambers is led in a path inclined at a small angle to the horizontal with the open ends of the carriers pointing downwardly. A guide plate 8 is provided to retain the containers in the carriers, and a horizontal conveyer belt 9 moving at the same speed as the chain 2 is arranged below the path of the containers beyond the termination of guide-plate 8 so that the containers gradually leave the carriers and are carried away upon the belt. The arrangement is also used for loading the bottles with the directions of movement of the conveyers reversed, marks being made on the belt 9 so that the containers can be correctly positioned on it.
