Classes 79(1) and 79(3) In an aircraft manoeuvring trolley comprising a liftable ring for engaging the aircraft wheel 54, the ring 46 has a circumferential flange or groove. As shown in Fig. 1 the trolley is supported by front wheels 20 and a rear wheel (not shown) steered by a tiller 17 and driven by an electric motor (not shown). A block 26 pivoted about a transverse axis on the trolley can be pivotally moved by hydraulic rams 25. A yoke 30 pivoted on a longitudinal axis to the block 26 pivotally carries at 31 gripper arms 32 having intermeshed toothed portions 33. The arms 32 interconnected by a hydraulic ram 35 are pivoted at 38 to outer ring halves 42, 43, which are pivotally connected at 44 and carry rollers 45 adapted to engage the ring 46, the halves of which are pivoted together at 50 and can be pinned together at 48. The ring 46 carries feet (not shown) and plates 51, 52 adapted to surround the aircraft wheel 54, and operation of the rams 25, 35 enables the trolley to manoeuvre the aircraft. The ring 46 may be provided with upper and lower flanges, Fig. 4 engageable by the rollers 45, or the ring 46 may have a single flange, Fig. 5, having its upper and lower surfaces engageable by rollers 56, 57 on the outer ring halves.
