Classes 79(1) and 79(3) An aircraft manoeuvring trolley is provided with gripper jaws adapted to engage an aircraft wheel by movement from the sides thereof and to extend over the upper part of the wheel whereby upward movement of the wheel relative to the trolley is prevented when the jaws have engaged. As shown in Fig. 1 the trolley comprises wheels 14, 18, the wheel 14 being steered by a tiller 15 and driven by an electric motor 20, and a yoke 24 is pivoted to the trolley about a horizontal transverse axis for movement under the action of fluidpressure jacks 25. Pivoted to the yoke 24 are gripper arms 29, 30 for movement about vertical axes 27, 28 under the action of a fluid-pressure jack 31. Pivoted to each gripper arm and biased by a spring 35 is a bracket 33 carrying a plate 34 to which is removably attached by pegs 38, 39 and hook-like members 40 a triangular jaw 36, Fig. 3, carrying lateral projections 44. The jack 34 is operable to bring the projections 44 into co-operation with the aircraft wheel 45 whereby the trolley can manoeuvre the aircraft, the projections 44 being preferably rubber covered to prevent damage to the wheel 45. In a modification, Fig. 6, the jaws 36 are removably mounted on plates 57, 58 carried by a ring 50 attachable to the trolley and constructed as described in Specification 826,344.
