Abstract

825,380. Agricultural implements. KOCH, H., and KOCH, T. [trading as KOCH & SOHM H. H.]. July 13, 1956, No. 21734/56. Class 6(1). [Also in Group XXXI] A manually guided rotary hoe comprises a motor 1 driving hoe blades 11 through gearing 2 and a removable frame 12 on which is mounted a further frame 13 on which is supported a winch 5 driven by a reduction gearing 4 from a chain wheel 14 mounted on the hoe shaft 10. The frame 12 supports a shaft 3 on which wheels 15 are mounted. Cultivators 9 or a plough or harrow are attached to the machine which is propelled forwardly by means of an anchored cable. A further winch may be provided for propelling the machine in the reverse direction. For transport purposes the wheels 15 may be chain driven. Alternatively the wheels 15 may be removed and secured to the hoe shaft 10. For hoeing, cutters 11 are mounted on the shaft 10 and the frames 12, 13 together with the winch are removed and running wheels are mounted in a carrier fastened to the housing of the gearing 2.
