823,789. Creasing garments. BRITISH NYLON SPINNERS Ltd. July 4, 1957 [July 4, 1956], No. 20656/56. Class 141 [Also in Group VIII] Creases in trouser legs are made permanent by inserting longitudinally in the crease a strip of thermoplastic material and applying heat and pressure. The thdermoplastic material is a polyamide, interpolyamide or interpolymer having at least one polyamide component and has a softening point above 80‹C. The strip may be a monofilament or it may be of square, triangular or ribbon-like crosssection; it is temporarily secured in position by tacking with thread, applying adhesive tape or moistening with alcohol to make it tacky. Alternatively the thermoplastic material may be extruded fram a gun or applied as a powder or solution. Specification 605,982 is referred to.
