A fibre-web dividing tape for textile machinery consists of a strip of plastic material and a covering of leather, leather-wool, or leather meal, applied to one or both faces or as a sleeve enclosing the plastic strip. The plastic material may be oriented polyamide, and leather, as a continuous strip or short lengths is secured thereto by an adhesive such as a solution of polyamide in formic acid Alternatively, leather wool or leather meal may be strewn or sprayed on to a plastic strip which has been coated with on adhesive consisting of a thick solution of polyamide in formic acid.
