Abstract

833,431. Scarves; head coverings. YOUNG, G. June 22, 1956 [June 24, 1955], No. 18397/55. Classes 63 and 141 A scarf of textile or plastic material for covering the head or shoulders is provided with two extensions each consisting of an elongated tying portion 2 and an enlarged end portion 3. The scarf may be triangular or semi-circular with extensions at two corners, the edge 4 between the extensions preferably being non-rectilinear. In a modification, Fig. 3, (not shown), the scarf is diamond-shaped and has extensions at opposite ends of a diagonal about which the scarf will be folded when in use. The enlarged end portions 3 of the tie members may be formed of a different material from the main body of the scarf which itself may comprise different materials on opposite sides.
