Class 131 The movable blade 20 of a hair clipper has a recess 43 in the upper surface, a pair of bearing surfaces 45, 46, 47, 48 being provided at each end of the recess and inclined at angles of 30 degrees, to the longitudinal axis of the recess, and 20 degrees to a plane normal to the blade, to seat and wedge against bearing surfaces 37, 38 on a drive finger 21. The outer extremities of the pairs of bearing surfaces are spaced from each other by a distance C, which is half the length of the blade measured along the row of teeth 40 and by twice the distance A from the teeth to the longitudinal axis of the recess. It is stated that unseating of the end 32 of the drive finger is prevented and leverage is increased without increasing the tension and so the friction between the blades.
