Abstract

822,481. Hand trucks, SALISBURY PRECISION ENGINEERING Ltd. Dec. 28, 1955 [Sept. 27, 1954], No. 27876/54. Class 108(1) A hand truck having a frame 1 mounted on wheels 14 is provided with arms 9 carrying rollers 15 and an extension 10 carrying castors 17 and is characterized in that there is provided a tilting means pivoted on the cross shaft 23 and comprises an arm 21 carrying a wheel 20 which is brought into a load-supporting position ahead of the wheels 14 by depressing the foot lever 28. The axes about which the truck pivots to bring it into wheeling position is thus brought closer to the load. The truck may be provided with a platform 32 raised by a hydraulic jack 50.
