822,298. Scaffolding, lattice towers. LACKNER, J., and LANG, G. June 8, 1956 [June 8, 1955; Aug. 6, 1955], No. 17769/56. Class 20(2) [Also in Group XXX] A scaffolding tower for a builder's hoist is constructed from prefabricated frames 1-5 provided with holes 6 which serve to secure interconnecting struts 7-16 at selected positions, independent of the disposition of the frames, to form walls each consisting of a series of open and closed framework bays of any desired height. The tower supports guide rails 17 for a hoisting carriage which is provided with either a turntable platform or a tipping bucket (Figs. 7, 8, not shown), and which is raised by a cable 20a passing over sheaves 22, 21, 21a. The tower is also provided with a jib crane 25. In a modification (Fig. 9, not shown) the struts extend beyond the uprights 1, 2 in a triangulated formation. In a further modification (Fig. 12, not shown) a series of towers are connected together side by side.
